Vanquish

I wouldn't be surprised if we do see Vanquish PC soon. Bayonetta seems to have done well despite Sega just using an April Fool's joke to announce its release. I never played Vanquish when it came out but its one I've wanted to.

Never heard of this one before now. It looks crazy. Definitely interested.

If you like sci-fi anime inspired action with swarms of missiles whizzing past you, acrobatic combat and enormous mecha bosses then it is pretty entertaining. Unfortunately, like I said, the premise and story are lackluster IMHO.

Wow, this is a nice surprise. This game will be excellent on the PC if they at least give it as much work as Bayonetta. This game was made by Shinji Mikami, if anyone didn't know.

Shinji Mikami is my hero. We should all know who he is, his game list is right up there with the best.

If you picked up Bayonetta, it's 25% off too. Just grabbed it for $15

Never heard of this but I'll keep my eyes on it

Edit: old xbox and playstation game, now I know why its foreign to me.

trailer reminds me a bit of Bulletstorm...

Not really. It's mostly a 3rd person shooter but you have a lot of crazy moves to move fast around the battlefield. Also it's more japanese than "dick-tits" Bulletstorm is known for.

One of the best action games from last gen, super underplayed and underappreciated. Really glad this made it to Steam (along with Bayonetta). I'd also really like to see Mad World, and Bayonetta 2 for that matter come next, but I have my doubts. Especially considering Nintendo's involvement with Bayonetta 2. Sadly, it wouldn't have been made without Nintendo, but at the same time it's a shame it had to be sent out to die on the Wii U.

Madworld and Anarchy Reigns are likely to hit this year. Mainly, because Sega is a on a roll. I'm also curious if all these small success might pave for Sega to fronting the bill to Scalebound.

IIRC I loved this game till the last boss. For some reason I just couldn't beat that last one and never went back to finish it.

These have been Platinum games that have been coming out. So, I don't think Sega is in the midst of doing any AM2 games.

SEGA did say that they were going to revive their old franchises for the new generation of gamers. So never say never. I wish Capcom would revive Powerstone. /sigh

We'll see. I don't expect anything in that wheel house for a bit. Not until Shenmue 3 anyway. I think the next big thing from them is Shenmue 1 & 2 ports.

They showed off a new Sonic game that allows you to choose how your character looks instead of being stuck with whomever. But yes, I agree with you on the Shenmue ports. What about Mad World? I'd like to see that also!

I think the Platinum stuff in their wheelhouse is a given, and not worth speculating. They're coming. Platinum has pretty much said this. It's only a matter of Publisher desires. So, if they keep selling. They'll keep doing them.

I'm kinda hoping through sales that an agreement for Bayonetta 2 can be reached. I'll even throw money in a Kickstarter to raise funds for it's ownership to Platinum. If not, I guess we will always have Wii U emulation?

It's the other properties they own through other devs that I'm curious on. Shenmue has been talked about since the Kickstarter was a success. So, I'm still just waiting for an official announcement. Even if it's just "In Game Movie Downloads."

Yeah, I'm currently playing the game on normal since the extra damage makes it harder.

Game is baller. I need a more powerful video card for 4K as the game loses that last generation look when you max all the settings at 4K. But I'll take 1080p at really high frame rates over 4K sub 40 any day.

So we can definitely call this game unoptimized right? I mean, it ran on an Xbox 360 at 1024x720 @ 30fps, but my r9 380x can't handle vsynced 60fps at 1080p (can drop to 55 during super hectic fights). That's just slightly better than my performance in Battlefield 1 at Ultra settings.
