Hello,

I was wondering if a v8800 firepro will game well, or are they all hacked up to perform better in CAD etc?

I might be able to get one for free, just wondering if it'd be an upgrade from my GTX260.

For gaming. Are you serious?
From the specs it looks like it is based on the radeon 5870 gpu line.
However I am doubtful you are going to have the driver support to 'game' on it.
But if it's free, why not. If it doesn't work you can always give it back.
