v2000 sidepanel question

I shall soon be acquiring a Lian-li v2000.
This particular unit comes with the optional windowed sidepanel (not sure yet if the original blank panel will be included...I suspect not).

I'm not planning on using the windowed panel unless:
-It can be flipped and installed on the l/h side of the case,
AND
-the window acrylic itself is removable.

Is this possible?
Are the panels swappable and if not, why (i.e., could the obstruction be easily modified)?
How is the window affixed to the aluminum?

Finding this out will allow me to pre-order another panel should it be necessary, so thanks for any info....
