I am thinking of getting some red UV paint (brush on) to paint my case fans. The ones Im painting have blue led's (big surprise huh) and I wanted to give it a little more color. Has anybody used this? Does it actually come out red or does it look pink?

depends on the product you use. I used some UV blue paint that when painted on was kinda white but dried clear. The paint I used can be found HERE

Thanks for the reply, actually was thinking of using this I'll probably send 'em an e-mail since it seems not too many people here paint. Thanks again! :)

I have used the paint you are looking at. I works OK but you have to apply several coats and the U/V cathode has to be pretty close to get the effect I think you may be after. I used both red and purple on the capacitor tops for an added effect. I don't have any picture and the board I used it on is sitting in a box in the closet somewhere.

depending on the surface. I bought 2 bottles of different colors. Applied about 3-4 coats on the motherboard edges, turned on 2 UV lamps.....barely can see it...The previous poster that said the UV lamps have to be close is not kidding...very close to see the efftects...

Damn, that sucks... Maybe I'll give a ring to some of these fan manufacturers and see what they use for multicolored uv fans as Ive noticed some of them aren't just colored plastic. Thanks for all the replies yall. I really appreciate it.

Blah, that stuff is way too expensive IMO. And you likely won't need a larger bottle like that.

Check this out for $5.99 :

Water based for easy clean-up. And no chance of solvents melting your plastic parts.
I've used similar products in my rigs with good results.
