UV lighting

What type of UV lighting has given you guys the best fluorescent reaction? and specifically which brand if you can list.

LED
CCFL
other?

I'm trying to get less of the purplish glow and more UV reaction

CCFL is probably going to be the best for a fluorescent reaaction. the purple glow is something you will probably just have to live with since the light is in the UV (ultra violet) which is the purple part of the spectrum which is going to cause it to have the purple glow.

You could always direct the LEDs at whatever your trying to get to light up... since the CCFLs just spread light all around

Also... I've heard of black UV ccfls... which as their name would suggest apparently put out black light and still have the UV effect? Its probably just a dark purple though
