I have a question for ya'll, first let me introduce by saying i am planning on transforming a lian-li pc 75 into a nice little glowing box of UV, but my only worry is that UV reactive fans tend to push much much less air than their non reactive counter-parts, so, how would i go about keeping the case cool while having a nice glow?

i have green 5 uv-reactive fans in mine. i have no complaints, airflow is enough and they are pretty quiet. i have had them for about 6 months with no problems.

my only concern is my case right now is pretty hot with 2 tornados and 3 other crappy fans in it, i have 3 cards in and 3 HDS, i'm just wanting nice and cool, would it be possible to just paint the fans with UV reactive paint, or would the excess weight = slow fan ?

You could paint your fans and it would not slow them down, although it is a hard process to do. Seriously though, your problem seems to be that your case has horrible air flow or something because with 5 fans that should be enough to keep case temps down to a reasonable level.

the painted fans that i have seen suck. the paint chips and it ends up being more trouble than its worth. also if you paint them with UV reactive paint, they will loose their glow very fast.

all right, i appreciate the help, i think i'm just gonna go for the UV fans, and clean up my wiring a ton, i just need to get some sleeves and stuff, then i'll be golden, i think i'm going to leave the tornados in the case somewhere, in areas where either there's dead air or it get's really hot, we'll see how it turns out.

i have 4 UV fans and i get 35 idle

AMD 2400 @ 2ghz <-- will push this as soon as i get my water cooling kit
