I am working on a project that needs to project very accurate changing patterns of UV light. The idea that I have been kicking around is something similar to the overhead-lcd monitor projectors except instead of visible light, I need it to project high resolution UV light. I was thinking of replacing the cathode tubes / projector with a cluster of UV LED's.
Ive heard that certain glass types block something like 90 % of UV light but I am not sure that holds true to LCD panels. I need the UV light to be very strong so it is important that the LCD interferes as little as possible. Apart from how well the light transmits through an open pixel, it is important for a pixel to block the light as well.
Any thoughts on the feasibility of this project would be greatly appreciated!
Also, I'm sorry if this is not the right place for this kind of question.
