Utter Frustration: Returning SMP WU

I have three SMP clients that now have 2 WU each in the "Ready to send" state and it will just not upload. I assume it is F@H Server Issues again. I'm frustrated because the Preferred Deadline is about to come up on the first set of WUs.

I have tried restarting each of these instances because the first thing it does is try to upload any unsent WU and after trying 4 times on EACH instance, nothing.

Is there ANY word on getting these issues resolved? I know it is every weekend and we should be patient, but if the deadlines pass and I can't upload the results, well I would call that a complete waste of time & money.

I have GPU boxen that need to send work in/get new work and can't yet.......

/sigh

 
My GPUs are sitting idle also. At least I'm saving power ATM. :D
 
Attempt #1,587,432 to get work failed, and no other work to do.
Waiting before retry.

Well the weekend is over and so are the troubles.

My SMP & GPU2 clients are now all happy. They are getting work and are able to send without issues. The weekends seem to always bring my overall PpD down because there is a lot of time spent idle.

 
What is it about weekends that affects Stanford so much anyway?

My own guess : People start computers back on fridays after letting it shut off on weekdays and it choke the servers.

All of this can be avoided with some proper management and foresight :rolleyes:

 
Guys, if you want to fold, you gotta take the BS.
That's the way it's always been.

VJ is too stupid to manage to change his own diapers. He's never going to sucessfully manage anything approaching a real IT infrastructure. Just accept it and fold.
