Utility to measure average file size

In prep for stripe sizeing, id like to find out what my average file size is on my current system and what the average size is for files i acually use. That is, its all nice and well to know whats on disk, its another to know what I really use day-to-day.

Does anyone know of a utility that measures my average file size both static and dynamic (or either)?
