Ut2k4 giving me fatal errors.

Okay, I can play Ut2k4. But whenever I exit it has a 50/50% chance of crashing and giving me a BSOD.

A BSOD on Windows XP.

It says "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" or something like that.

So what gives? Anyway to fix it? And no, I'm not going to reformat my computer.
 
Sounds like cpu is overheating or not getting enough voltage. Those errors are very common with overclocked systems.
 
But I never OCed my system. And I have a 480W PSU.

Anything to do with BIOS perhaps?

(Oh yeah, I have a Athlon 64 3200+, and my case is cooled by about five fans.)
 
Could be agp fast writes are turned on, Your cpu is undervolted , Ram timings are set to high mainly cas latency, Whats your cpu temps read in the bios? Did u use thermal grease?
 
Temp is 40.5C, Voltage is 2.67V.

!!!! It says "Warning, Voltage is higher than rated maxium." The max is 1.5-1.55

This probably it? How can I fix it?
 
I doubt your pc would even run if thats the voltage given to your cpu. 1.5 is default if its 2.67 sounds like maybe its reading the 3.3 voltage? If thats the case then that seems way to low . If however thats the agp voltage u need to drop that down before you blow out your card. Think all new agp 4x to 8x run 1.5 not sure though. Anyways your cpu shold be 1.5 ram should be 2.5 to 2.7 depending on ram 12 volt line usually should read about 11.96 or so and 5 volt line should be slightly higher or lower then 5 volt
 
Yeah, at the BIOS it says 1.5V.

And then they had things like 3 and 5 and they were running at voltages of 3.10 and 5.10.

Also, I noticed a option in there for AGP Architecture and it was at 128. Does this have to do with anything of my videocard? (GT with a AGP 256 whatever.) And if so, do I change it to 256mb?
 
its a known problem w/ ut2k4 between a64's and 6800 series cards i believe
