this is kind of a difficult question. when i load up in ut 2004 and the nividia screen shows, the black part has a wavy look going on. i looked at my friends comp to see it it would do this with his 9800xt and it didnt. its just not in the opening screen, if i look at a black part in the game theres a wave going through it too. I tried reducing my overclock but that didnt make any difference. im on the 53.03 drivers right now.

I'm sure you tried lowering the resolution, right?

If you did that, take this into consideration. When my monitor was starting to go bad, I had some problems at high resolutions like yours.

How old is your moniter?

its a viewsonic 19 inch crt ultrabrite, about 2 months old. its the only game it does it on too though.

im going to try upgrading these 53.03 drivers to the newest ones. i went to guru 3d to download a driver cleaner. i downloaded detonator destroyer, but it doesnt detect any detonator drivers because there the old ones. any driver cleaner programs that will clean off the newer ones?
