Crappy windows notebook would break instantly, they should have used Macbooks. Plastic is not as strong as the solid aluminum unibody on the Macbook.

Surely, if you want something resembling a perch as it bent downwards in a matter of seconds. Apple marketing does wonders to play to those with Dunning-Kruger tendencies regarding their knowledge of engineering and materials.

Thinkpads are among the most durable in the world in its class. You can even dump a glass of water on the keyboard while it's in operation and it won't affect it (not that I'd try it myself).

I had two thinkpads and they were workhorses and rarely gave me trouble. I won't buy one now though. I don't want to have anything to do with a Chinese laptop from a Chinese company. Yes I know Dell, HP and all the others are built in Shanghai now but at least the companies are in the U.S.
