Using rheobus with LED fans?

I read an article stating that you shouldnt use a rheobus with LED fans. Does this cause damage to the LEDs or something? Is it ok to do this?
 
no it just behaves wierd. no harm actually happens.

for instance it will go down to a certain point and you can not make it increase again. its a PITA!

Ever... or untill a restart?
 
ive got the zalman MFC1 and it works fine with my led fans, leds can be turned off and the fan still spins, crank it back up, fan goes full out and led's come back on.

works fine for me
