using NEC EA232WMI yet?

Anyone have this panel yet? I have seen two reviews,one good,one not so good...I hate playing the panel lotto...I'm willing to go the NEC PA231W,$600 if I have to. I wish I could get one of the $300 e-ips panels and be sure of a decent one but that is iffy I read here...I did see a refurb 2490wuxi $540...I don't game,basic photo editing,surfing...Maybe research for a good VA something..Even looking at OB 2090uxi,HP 2065...anything with decent color uniformity and not much light bleed..Advice?

NEC 2490 aslong as its the original version (without the '²'), no question.

The 2490 refurb is the version2....Still a lot of panel for $540,yes? Actually more than I need,as I say I just want a panel with uniform color across the screen in sRGB...Well,as uniform as possible...

You can get a new 2490wuxi2 for ~$660. There are occasional price fluctuations down to ~620 at Newegg and B&H. The extra warranty protection is probably worth the additional $100.

The 2490 is a great monitor, even without the polarizer.
