Hi all,
When I was playing with my new GTX 680 I realised that I had lost the quality that Intel Clear Video HD gave me in movies and videos especially at 1080. I can see a massive difference when watching movies with the Graphics card and I am using VLC Media Player by the way.
Now my question is will I be able to use the onboard iGPU for movie watching making use of the Intel Clear Video Technology or am I restricted to only the GTX 680 for movie watching?. I have installed the iGPU drivers and Lucid Logix Virtu MVP although I guess that only takes advantage of Quick Sync. Is there some magical way to make the player recognize the iGPU instead of the Discrete GFX when playing movies?. I have not tried connecting my monitor to the onboard display port yet but will that make a difference because I suppose the computer recognizes only one display adapter except during special circumstances like video encoding when Virtu MVP kicks in to use the iGPU. I am terribly gutted by knowing that I have gained massive gaming fun but lost quality movie watching. Please help
.....
Thanks
