Hey, could I hook up my cold cathode flourescent light to one of the fan controller knobs on my 5.25 controller bay. Also, Could I connect more than two fans to the same controller?

Most fan controllers will make it pulse; so as opposed to getting any dimmer, your cold cathode will just flick on and off less frequently. Unless you have a fan controller that's an actual resistor (which i doubt it is)... well if that's the case it would work.

i have the sunbeam rheobus and i had my CCFL's hooked up and they dimmed and turned off, they didnt flicker

i had 2 lights to 1 knob
another light to 1 knob
and 2* 2 Fans to 1 knob

works fine for me :D

hey, what does 2*2 on one fan mean. does that mean you had 4 connected to one fan? Could you do that?

so could i hook up like 4 fans to one knob, 2 fans to another, my cpu fan to one, and my ccfl to the fourth. Any techies no if this would be a good idea or not. Also, can anyone recommend me a cheap fanbus?
If the fans already have variable thermal resistors on them, would you have to cut them off and tie them directly together so that the fan controller works?

Ive had 3 120mm fans on one channel of my fanbus for about a year and a half now with out problems. Also ive had a cold cathode on each of the other 3 channels with out problems.

Yes you will have to disable the thermal resistors to have full control over your fans other wise they will be set lower than you want them to be.

can anyone recommend a fanbus thats pretty cheap that will get the job done? also can i install them recessed into my bay since i have a drive door.
