Hey I'm building a PC in near future and I'm wondering if this is a right approach...?
I'll have 180GB SSD, which I'll store most of my programs and games on + OS. Other games and programs, that don't take advantage of these speeds, I want to install on external drive connected through eSATA (3Gbit/s). External because moving it around using USB 2.0 - notebook, TV, PS3.
So would this cause problems, or would it be just plainly unpractical? Would setting up home network and streaming wirelessly/wirely work better? I'm a newbie in storage solutions so bear with me. Main concern is watching 3D movies on my TV (in the other room), which would be problem connecting through wire - I don't know what router (and switch) to use for that, and wireless solution may cause dropdowns when gaming and watching at the same time.
Would someone enlight me?
