Well, i have a the gateway widescreen 21" and a sony kv30hs420 widescreen CRT HDTV, i got this because of the cost and amazing superiority that CRT still has over LCD. The other night i moved my computer near the tv and plugged the tv into the computer with a dvi-HDMI cable that i bought.

my problem was i couldnt get the screen size adjusted properly, and i couldnt get it to stop shaking, and i also couldnt change the refresh rate or anything (this is with either dualview or clone)

now i know theres some problem with overscan/underscan between crt's and LCD's, so explain that to me, i just want my crt hdtv to be crisp, which it wasnt at all, nice IQ, but text was not even close to crisp, i was trying to run it at 1080i BTW.

suggestions? (i just installed the 84.21's i think i had 81.98 before when i was trying this).

I would never run that thing as a desktop display unless you set it to run in proscan. If the TV only does 1080i - then 1280x720 is the resolution I would run the desktop @.
