Using both VGA and DVI ports

Hi I plan to purchase the samsung 2233 sw monitor (http://www.samsung.com/in/consumer/detail/detail.do?group=informationtechnology&type=monitors&subtype=tftlcdmonitors&model_cd=LS22CMZKF/XL) .It has both DVI & VGA ports. I wish to connect my HTPC through DVI and second PC through VGA.Since I will be using one at a time are dual input lcd monitors able to switch from one signal to another(DVI->VGA->DVI) automatically.I believe some models allow to manually switch between modes but after a few months the buttons become weak .

I have a Samsung monitor and I have my computer plug into the DVI port and the Xbox360 in the VGA port. I can run them both the same time and if I want to switch video I just hit the "source" button and it changes from VGA to DVI input back and forth just fine.

If your worry about buttons wearing out I wouldn't worry then. I believe that Samsung monitor uses those "touch sensitive" buttons instead of regular push buttons.

I believe most monitors these days do automatically switch between different input sources.
