Using an Enermax 550w on 775 board...?

I have an older 20 pin enermax 550w power supply, with only a 20 pin atx connector...am i safe using this supply with a 24 pin adapter on a Asus P5W-DH Dlx and E6600+ati 1950xtx? or should i spend more money on another P/S?

should it be ok with the PCI-E graphics as well?
