Using acrylic for case mod

I am looking all over the greater Houston area for stores or shops that might carry semi-transluscent acrylic sheet. I would like to fabricate a backlit acrylic cover for the PSU that extends across the bottom of the case and up over the HDD cage. It will be backlit with LED and have wire management openings built in.

Only problem is... I cant find a place that sells it. I can get get cheap clear lexan at Home Depot or Lowes but not the clean glossy white stuff I am looking for. I can order it online but only in large sheets. Don't really need 24"x24".

Any help would be appreciated. Also, If anyone knows of any mods done with this idea, I would like to see them for ideas on whether to bend to shape or cut and weld.

Thank you.

Thanks Lu(ky,

Those links were great. CyberDruid and Syrillian do some great work with acrylic. I will definitely be posting my finished product on this forum to show off. I only hope my pieces will hold up to the scrutiny.

I might also post a work log. I have a lot of ideas that I would like to implement on this rig.
