i have an nf7-s r.2 and i was thinking about using 2 ABIT Serillel2 connectors with my ide drives if only for less cable mess.

whats the verdict on these? are they reliable or is there a better chance that they will just mess up my harddrives?
 
i would like to know this as well...exact same situation. and where can these be found for cheap?
 
you can get them here, but they arent cheap at $25 each plus shipping... other then that, you could probably get some off FS/T forums or ebay...
 
I'm using one on a WD 80gb that I got with the Abit NF7-S right next to my hotdamnfersureSata Raptor system drive. Not a glitch in the conversion, recognition, etc., and its faster. Because I had it, I used it, but wouldn't buy one outright.
 
i use one omy my 250 gig, so to not need another ide cable, all i have is cd roms, and my primary ide is empty

works fine for me, and i do alot of disk to disk activity
