Using a legacy TV tuner in XP mode.. question regarding capture software

I am using a leadtek Winfast II USB Deluxe through XP mode on W7x64 and so far I am impressed with the capabilities of using XP mode..

My question is this.. aside from the included software that this device is used with, does anyone know of an alternative PVR software that I could try with this ?

MediaPortal might be up your alley (free and opensource media center software).

VLC supports TV card recording/playback AFAIK, but I've personally never have been able to get it to cooperate with my WinTV 950q USB stick.
