using a kitchen freezer to cool radiator?

You need a dedicated compressor. Any other kind will fail as they're not meant for more than a 25-50% duty cycle.

Would never work, refrigerators and freezers just aren't designed to handle anything that produces heat. As previously stated, you'd cause the compressor to run at 100% duty cycle and the modest condenser on the back of fridge/freezer would never be able to offload the constant heat resulting in the freezer heating up and the compressor to fail.

If you use your computer only occasionally (like most of us do, closing it in between) and freeze your freezer full of water, the thermal energy stored in the ice will dissipate the temporary load from use.

The amount of cooling power stored in 100 liters of ice is huge.
