I have 2 1920x1200 monitors and a 1440p monitor and 1080p tv.

I've connected the 1440p monitor with dvi, the two monitors i wanted to connect with display port to dvi adapters and the tv with the HDMI.

Now even though i only want to connect 4 displays and not do eyefinity i'm still required to use an active display port adapter? Whats with this bull?

Anyway my question is if i buy 1 single link active displayport adapter am I able to use the second monitor with the displayport --> dvi adapter and the TV with HDMI?
 
So having eventually found the right question to ask on google it seems two active single link active displayports are required.

So I need to spend another £45 on two adapters....

Question: Can NVIDIA 680 run 4 displays on all 4 of its ports without need for apapters.
