Hey guys, so i have a lot of spare parts lying around. nothing new, just a bunch of old shit i picked out of unwanted pcs. I plan on using the best parts to ghetto rig a pc and installing a lightweight linux distro on it. But what exactly are some good uses for an extra pc like this? I was thinking maybe a Counterstrike server but the specs are too low. Network storage perhaps? I dont know. I could use it to practice networking and security? any ideas of what you would do with it other than kick it to the curb?
