User error or more Microsoft sabotage?

Most of us have had issues like that, but we didn't try blame Microsoft or another program that put us in the situation you are in. We took ownership of the problems we put on ourselves and we learned from our mistakes instead of making ludicrous threads ranting about how Microsoft is "sabotaging" our systems.

I ran a prog that claims it would fix issues it finds on my PC, prog fucks it up instead. That makes it my fault? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight....

And I was looking at Microsoft as a possible suspect because Microsoft WU is known for fucking up peoples systems and I had just used WU a few days ago. Following my logic, Microsoft shills?

But, just to appease you. I'm sorry for suspecting you as the culprit Microsoft. LOL

Yes. Completely. YOU ran the program. YOU took the risk. This wasn't Microsoft sabotaging you, this was you using a 3rd party utility to modify your operating system. That 3rd party software didn't work the way you intended it to, and now you are where you are because of that. You asked the question "User error of more Microsoft sabotage" in your thread title. We gave you the answer to your question.

I fixed the issue myself already, and didn't use the "googlez" to help me either. I'm going to continue using 3rd party tools too but in future I will make sure not to post here if they fuck up my PC. What is the point of this forum again?

The point of the forum is for conversation. Unwarranted and unfounded rants usually don't make for good conversation :)
Either way I'm glad you fixed your issue. I want to make it clear too that I doubt any of us have anything against tweaking your system. I think most of us become those "rabid hyenas" when people don't own up to their actions or blame a company for them.

Reinstall Windows, problem solved. Let's all go out for a beer.

I generally have a clean boot drive. I only have things that I have backups for or can reinstall easily in a few minutes. I can go from complete system failure to back up and 100% running in under an hour. Its a nice feeling.

The point of this forum is to help with the question you posed. You asked what the problem was. The problem was you using utilities that you didn't understand, to solve a non-problem that you didn't understand, and thus you messed up something. You are just refusing to listen to what the problem really is, and how you messed up your own system because you just didn't fully understand the process in the first place.

You not understanding the process led you to blame Microsoft, something a lot of people do because they don't understand what is going on with their own systems. Microsoft gets a lot of misplaced blame for updates because of things other people did to their systems. You just went ahead and jumped on that bandwagon before thinking through the problem thoroughly.

What you should have done is brought the problem you were facing and what you wanted to try to fix it and ask people's advice then. Getting advice prior would have saved you a lot of trouble in the end.

What is the point of this forum again?

To provide you with an arena to rant on about your mistakes, then your learning process as you go through the motions of realizing your mistake then resolving it, then your utter hate of Microsoft, then your incessant need to lambast others even after you ask them for help and they do actually take time to provide it in some manner, and then finally you telling people to go do <whatever> to themselves because you of course were somehow intelligent enough to find a fix for the situation you created in the first place by using some software that makes some ridiculous claim about fixing your 'puter's ills that you created in the first place, and then finally (thank some higher power) you decide to leave the thread open instead of asking an Admin or Mod to close it so you can just keep pressing those buttons.

That pretty much covers it, methinks.

Oh, and the hidden System Reserved partition? That started with Windows Vista, 100MB in size through Windows 7, and the size changed in Windows 8 and 8.1 to 350MB, and with Windows 10 is increased in size again to 500MB.

But I mean really, how can you - with the wealth of knowledge available to you now that your 'puter is working properly because you fixed it, not know this simple fact? :)
