Used heatercore

I'm thinking of getting a 120mm heatercore (chevette) that has been used for a few months. I was wondering if there is a life span for heatercores (i.e. does it start to break down after so long, etc.)?

I fyou buy a used one, make sure you clean it out real good, if you search the forums, you will find threads with horror stories from people not cleaning them out properly

I'd just go buy a new one, you can get them at autozone, or any other auto parts store for like around 20-30$.

You should really just get a new Bonneville or Chevette heater core instead of getting one used, unless you're getting a good deal and are stupid like me http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=925813
