usb sound blaster died

hi all.
first sorry if i failed with the search function and this has been answered before.

but i turned the comp on today and no sound was played, tried winamp and it states "device not found"
I'm usin a creative usb sound blaster mp3+. tried uninstall, reinstall, unplugg, plug in again., nothing helped, still no sound. activated my onboard sound again and it worked fine.

has anyone the same problem, or is this maybe a known issue with usb blaster's?
the pc with the problem is no.1 in my sig.
