USB Power Comes to Winter Wear

Does the phrase “remember to plug your boots in” sound a little strange to you? Well it should, but for the fact it can now be a reality. Electric boots…..I though we left those behind in the ‘70s.

i think it'd be pretty neat to have a pair of running shoes with an accelerometer, gps, or just a simple pedometer built in that could track your distance. maybe even pressure sensors that could track your form

A bit on the expensive side, but I can see their place. I bought some USB powered gloves for my g/f for work because she always complains its too cold, seems to do the trick thus far and not that expensive either.

Saw a similar pair just yesterday at Mark's Work Warehouse. They were going for $300 Cdn. These would be good if you're ice fishing or doing some activity where you're not moving around. Besides that, waste of money. Trick is to keep you feet dry.

if so, is this company admitting that they suck so much at making boots that they have to include a heater in them?

something that counts your steps and with a good stride calibration can in most cases calculate how far you've walked.
