this just fell out of one of my USB ports. :mad: it seems to be working fine for now, but I'm afraid that the pins might bend without support.
should I attempt to replace it, or just leave it out?
 
Are you sure that fell out of the USB ports? It doesn't look like anything from a USB port housing.
 
it was inside. I *THINK* that it's the piece which supports the contacts inside of the socket.
 
Looks like the flat plastic piece inside the connector to make sure it is polarized correctly.
 
yes it's like that but it's not from the connector. i guess i'll just have to watch out when i plug stuff in. will it damage the mobo if i goof the polarity up or will it just not function right until it's plugged in right?
