USB not working on bay device

I just got an Enermax front bay device with temp and fan monitoring and usb, speaker and firewire plug in. Problem is the usb isn't working on the device. I've got 2 usb connections on the motherboard and they are both working. My case has 2 usb ports on the front which work, tested with both usb spots. I've tried every combination of plugging stuff in to no avail. Anyone have any experience with this particular item?
