Oh yeah, the USB mini fridge is here! Sure, it isn’t very practical but it is pretty cool (literally) and it pegs the nerd meter. Engadget has pics of the tiny fridge in action.

It takes 5 minutes to bring the fridge down to 8.5 degrees centigrade (47 degrees Fahrenheit) and it holds just one can. But hey, it's a 5V USB-powered refrigerator dambit and that's worth it at any price.

It need to be large enough to hold a 16oz can (like an energy drink) or bottle of beer, then it might be worth the money.
 
I'll take 6! Gotta have enough to hold a size pack, at least. :p
 
lol, and I thought buying the CoolIT USB beverage chiller was bad. :p It does work very well though. I would have went for this, but I can't see spending the money when I already have a USB beverage cooling device.
 
That's so cool. I want one. Nothing like cold beer next to the computer. :D

sweeeet! i always thought about moding a minifridge inside my case for lans and such. very impractical but cool sorta.
 
The first thing that popped into my head when I saw this was using it to chill my water cooling reservoir. I wonder how fast the water would heat up.
 
I think it's pretty cool... not extremely practical, but still cool.

I'd like to see one that would hold a 20oz bottle of mtn dew... I don't drink out of cans that often

May not fit on the desk, but it fits quite nicely next to the desk. ;) :D
 
I collect Coca Cola stuff, and this is like those really old Coca Cola machines..I had to get one, thats awesome....
