USB mic randomly stops working

My logitech mic randmly stops working today. Whenever I boot up my pc, the green light turns on which would signify the mic being on. Then in the winodws boot screen, about half way through that, the mic LED is not working. Windows doesn't recognize it plugged into my motherboard. I tried both USBs ports, and they don't work.
 
i looked in my device manager and it says:

USB Root Hub
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

hmm.... looks like i have to update my drivers
