I am having several issues with my USB and a few mass storage devices.

First off my Lexar JumpDrive Secure 128MB drive.
When I plug the drive into the front USB ports on most computers it reboots, giving me a memory dump.
I've tried reinstalling a few drivers on my computer including the FAT32 drivers and the USB controllers. BOth of these worked the first time and then after a reboot the problem is back.
The drive however works fine on the rear ports.
The other problem includes that thumb drive and an RCA Lyra mp3 player.
After I plug he drive in and transfer files Windows will not let my eject the drives. I've had to shut downt he computer in order to unplug the devices.

Anyone point me to some solutions??

My computer is an
AXP 2800+ on an nForce 2 mobo, running Windows XP Pro.

I've had similiar issues when plugging in USB devices into front ports. I think it may be a grounding issue. I would suggest to try and plug the USB device in straight and see if that makes a difference. Otherwise, see if the USB wires from the front of the case have their grounding wire connected.
