USB interference.

Since my mac mini doesn't have line input, I use an iMic. The only issue would have to be there is a high pitched whine that does not go away. It has nothing to do with what is input, but rather something is going on over my usb line. If I plug it straight into my computer, though, nothing changes.
Any suggestions?
