USB Headsets for VoIP

I've tried a handful of USB Headsets for VoIP (and Skype). They work, but after hours of use, I find them very uncomfortable. Has anyone found a good headset (must be USB--my system has no audio mini-jacks) that's comfortable for all-day use?
 
Just a thought, but why not use a USB sound card? Then you can use any set of headphones that you like.
