I need one for VOIP, but I would also use it for gaming, vent etc. I'm thinking something between the Logitech H530 and the G35, but not limited to that brand. I'm finding some mixed reviews, and I haven't seen any that stand out yet. Any suggestions?
 
I just went from a pair of Logitech G35's to a pair of Audio Technica ATH-AD700's, and I must say...for the same price the Technica's are 10x's the headphone. However, if you're deadset on USB cans, and not doing something along what Jospeh recommended...the G35's have an excellent mic and the directional sound for shooters is decent enough.
