Some guy has developed a home security system that incorporates the use of a web cam, automatic BB gun and an early warning system that allows you to shoot at what you see on camera. This is about as cool as home security gets.

The USB BB gun sports automatic firing, manual reloading, and the ability to fire based on commands given remotely on a PC. Moreover, the weapon actually packs a webcam on the barrel, allowing users to login via computer, tilt / swivel the gun with simple mouse flicks, and fire away if you spot any intruders within its broad line of sight.

ROFL, what's next, a .50 cal sniper rifle mounted on the roof/porch? I mean, if you REALLY want to get rid of a trespasser or solicitor, why not go big?

There are some punks shooting BB's through my garage windows from the house behind me..

THIS WILL DO NICELY.

Previously, I was planning on having a full hopper in my paint gun, and mouting a tree stand on one of the 90yr old oaks in my back yard. This will be much better. I can just alt+tab out of CoD2, and blast some preteen punks!

Cool if you want to go to jail :)

Good I assume if you use plastic pellets to shoot raccoons from eating your trash or something, but I'm sure there is some law against that too.

Jail nothing! Read the comments, it's just a 225FPS airsoft gun. No biggie; you can't cause any damage with that.

Do you know what 225fps does to your soft eyeball? Read your state laws, I don't know of a single state that allows you to fire this at anyone legally.

I like the concept of this, however, I feel that it would be better used if you could remote operate something like ED-209

You still didn't read the comments. He shot himself and his girlfriend with it, and said it wasn't bad. Any moving projectile can damage your soft eyeball, so are we going to outlaw throwing pebbles now?

This stuff has been done before, but it just hasn't been applied to the right application yet.

We need one of these with a 22LR instead of a BB Gun. Then, we need to mount one every 100 ft on the Border Fence. Then, we let US Citizens create accounts and log in to the system for a free 10 minute demo. Viola! Instant Border Patrol that would probably pay to watch the border.

We cut the actual border patrol down to 5 or 6 guys who just spend all day driving and reloading the 22s. Belt fed 22s would work wonders here, a few thousand rounds easily. Charge buy the round, or offer a platinum package with unlimited rounds.

We could fix our border security and our deficit.

:( You people just make me sick, with your attitude there's no wonder so many people get shot in US every day.

Ok, so a BB gun is not normaly a killing or even wounding weapon but the step to a real gun is very short.

So are many other things, but it is called human restraint that is used for most people. Those who do not use it end up doing something absurd. Yet you can not put the blame on a guy doing this on violence in America or any country. Maybe he lives in a bad neighborhood and this keeps people who are likely to steal away from his house so he is safer.

Only if it travels faster than 225fps. :p

I would DEFINITELY have the high score!! Even if they were rubber rounds, it'd be really effective. I like this idea. :)

we need to call a house meetin yawl

It's not funny. I think the solution to Iraq security is to have robot veeehicles with 50cal and rocket launchers on it, and US citizens sign in, take out a veeehicle and go on patrol.... beats the hell out of a "quest" in WOW

Roam the streets of Hajji-land with a killer robot and implement LAW and ORDER from the comfort of your easy chair.... dayem!! :p

Man, those Bots in this game are soooo real!!! :D

Would be better with a Remote Control Life Sized dummy that looks like Scarface with dual mac 10s. Complete with function keys mapped to say random scarface phrases with the F bomb.

Actually, throwing stones at people regardless of their size is also very illegal. Hitting a car with somone in it is also very illegal, spitting on somone is also... illegal.

I get shot with paintballs all the time and they dont bother me, does it mean I can go and shoot people walking by or delivering my mail or just lurking? No.

There are several weapons systems in use by the government to protect sensative or vital sites.

This site HAS live ammo fully auto remote controlled electric gun mounts.
http://www.y12.doe.gov/

The government has a camera tracking system that can track people signatures(silhouettes),
However was tested with a better targeting processor, it could detect a sniper in a guille suit in grass.
The sniper could not exactly mimic the movement of the grass and trees.

I'll try to dig up pics of the business end of the systems.

Uhh. . .yeah. . .it's already illegal to throw pebbles at someone. It's called assault and battery, and in some areas the cops will go absolutely crazy with charges for stupid stuff like that. A few months ago I saw an article about a lady who was convicted of a felony for throwing an empty coke can at someone.
