So I just picked up a rather nice Toshiba notebook since my desktop decided it was no longer right for this world. Now I run in to a little issue, I use my computer daily for work and in doing so require dual or triple monitors. I was looking at a few usb3 docks that had 1 dvi and 1 hdmi ports that i could use. i also noticed there was a few usb3 to dvi adapters out there. I was wondering what everyone's take was on these? How would these work out? I never used anything like this and really would love some input of someone who owns one or used one. Thank you for any help given

I never knew anything such as the USB3.0 universal dock even existed. That seems like it would nice. My M6600 never leaves its dock, but my Chronos does constantly, using a KVM switch back and forth. I'd be inclined to give the first a try. 2 monitors (3 including your laptop screen).

see and that is exactly what i was thinking but just little worried about the performance/lag.

I've used a few different USB video adapters and they all have a good bit of lag. As long as you're just doing office type stuff on them, they're ok, but the lag can be kind of annoying.

Was the usb video adapters that you used usb 2 or usb 3? I am hoping since i would want a usb3 adapter that it would help with the lag.
