USB 2.0 troubles with IS7-E

Hello, I built a computer for a customer and am having trouble getting the usb 2.0 to work. It is an IS7-E running Windows XP home edition. On the cd that comes with the motherboard it says then when you go ton install usb 2.0 drivers

Windows XP
1. Make sure your system can connect to Internet.
2. Link to Microsoft Windows XP SP1 download page.
3. Click "Network Installation" in Installing SP1 on Multiple Computers column. (You can choice "Express Installation" in Installing SP1 on Your Computer column, if you don't want to download full SP1 file.)
4. Select your language and click "Go" button.
5. Click "SP1 Network Installation (32-Bit)" to start download Windows XP SP1.
6. After download finished, execute the SP1 file to update your Windows.
7. After Windows update finish, click "Start"->"Control Panel".
8. Double click "System".
9. Select "Hardware" tab and click "Device Manager".
10. Right click on "Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller" and click "Update Driver...".
11. Click "Next" and system will search and install USB 2.0 driver automatically.

I have sp1 installed, but when I follow the above instructions it just says it cannot find a better match for the hardware. Any insight?

Did you check the motherboard manufacturers website to see if they have anything on it?

On the abit website their is only a usb 2.0 driver for win 9x/me.

Dunno if this will work, but try uninstalling the USB drivers, then have it search for new drivers.

Hmmm, I plugged my usb printer and usb external CDRW into it and it doesnt say anything about a high speed device being connected to a low speed bus like it usually does if the drivers aren't installed. Maybe they are installed I guess, it just doesnt say usb 2.0 host controller.
