USB 2.0 Problem with board intel d845gebv2

In device manager one ofh the devices comes under the category other devices, it is called a USB Controller(Says no driver for it). I believe this controls my USB 2.0. I should have 8 USB 2.0s on my machine and none are working as this. I believe that is the problem. All help would be greatly appreciated. USB 1.1 stinks : (.

I discovered I had the same problem (usb ports not running 2.0) when i just recently got a Dell MP3 player (DJ20). You can either load the drivers from your motherboard cd (or intel website perhaps) or what I did was just tell XP to update the driver which fixed it for me. And yes, the speed of usb 1.1 sucks bigtime compared to 2.0
