i tried coping some large files from a cd onto my hdd, but the coping failed, so the folder i copied it into is empty. BUT the 600mb ish things that wanted to copie took up my hdd space. i had 49.4gb before the coping, and now i only have 48.8. even tho i don't have the files!

1. Clear out temp files.
2. Is system restore on?

temp folder in my windows folder is clean. and i don't even know what system restore is. i have windows xp pro with service pack 1

i tried copying some files from a cd, but an error occured so the copying failed. the problem is the files were pretty large, so now my hdd shows that space taken up even tho i don't even have the files on my comp. for example, i had 49.4 gigs before copying, and after the failed copying, i only have 48.8. and the files were around 600 mb large.
