I used to have Windows GUI program, can't remember the name of it any more. Pretty sure it was free or shareware.
It could be used to retrieve URLs and it would display the raw HTTP and HTML code of the pages. It would show HTTP response codes, HTTP headers and the raw page code, each section color coded. It could be used to see server responses like 301 redirects and other intermediate results, rather than just following all the redirects automatically like a browser would do.
