URL Question...

I was curious how this is done and I will try and explain this the best I can...

A friend of mine has a Index of pictures located here

http://www.redcoat.net/pics/

This looks to be hosted from Apache Web Server & one of these pics, I wont say which because its very gross but lets say the url destination for this pic was:

http://www.redcoat.net/pics/TEST.jpg

How does he add a URL http://whateverthepictureis.com to = http://www.redcoat.net/pics/TEST.jpg?

So what I want to do is have some type in a URL like something.com and that will resolve a folder destination.

I can give you guys the specific example but I find it a very gross picture and NWS.

You set up a new site as www.whatever.com and make the default page on that site redirect the browser to the pic. You can' t just map a domain name to a specific file in DNS...You'd have to host a the www.whatever.com and redirect.
