Hey guys.
just sent back a broken segate to the company I brought it off with a broken data connector as it just snapped off when i unplugged one day. long story short they wont warranty it coz it physical damage. is this right or what?
im in the dark about this.but i think its just the shop i brought it off being assholes...
Help/Advice Please?

Cheers

sorry technically physical damage is not covered. You might try rma the drive directly to seagate. When I broke the sata connector on 2 of my wd drives WD said it's not covered by warranty but still replaced the drives for me when I rmad them.

Seagate's RMA process is incredibly fast... so my guess is that if you RMAed the drive it wouldn't get checked (at least not right away) and you would get the replacement
