Guys help. I just finished putting the m7ncg board and Athlon Mboile XP 2400 35W into my Aria case that I just god. I also got an FX5700... Well it took me like 4 hours to figure out how to put everything together and I finally did. So I connect the monitor and everything, and it boots fine but defualts my cpu speed to 800mhz. But all is fine. I hit delete go into my bios setting start to look around, and then BAM! video is gone! I unplugged everything turned it back on nothing, no more video! Everything is spinnging though the hard drives are booting all the fans are working. The only wierd thing I have noticed is that my CAPS NUM and SCROLL Lock buttons are all flashing on the keyboard once about every second. guys please help me, It took me so long to put this together, did I fry something? What should I do?

*EDIT* I have Version 7.2 of this mobo by the way. I found that int he manual there is some JCLK3 jumper that I should reset if the overclock fails or something. But I see no such switch. It is printed into the mobo but there is no jumper there just the mobo. Oh man Im so nervous. I hope some1 can help me figure this out. I mean it booted and than video went dead

*Just chaned the video card, same thing. Even tried on board video no luck. I even took out all of the corsair ram and put in one stick of crucial from my other computer, and still no luck! What should I do? I am so stressing out right now.!

what did you change in the bios? do you get video at the post screen? can you at least see the bios? If you can't see the bios, you need to reset it. look again and be sure you have the right model and diagram to find the jumper.

The jclock jumper is located just below the cpu socket to the left. Also you need to do a cmos clear and leave the system unplugged for at least 60 seconds when you do it.

If you get it up and running again, let me know if S3 suspend works on the 7.2 ;)

nope there is no JCLOCK jumper on the motherboard! I cannot see the bios I cannot see anything, just my monitor blinks as if it were in standby. I did not have time to change anything in the bios I Was just looking around seeing where eeverything is. I dont see the jclock jumper. I did reset thte CMOS like 10 times. I even took the battery out. Just to make sure though for the CMOS you just put the jumper on the upper two of the three pins with the power unplugged, wait 60 seconds, and then put the jumper back, and turn on the power right?

I stil have nothing! Help guys please.

Tried holding insert while it boots? Tried moving ram around? Tried a different video card (this is the most likely to make it start)?

Try re-seating your video card. I had some trouble with my 9500pro when it wouldn't seat properly so no video would show up.

that is very strange. sounds silly, but will your monitor work with another PC?

Well I have determined that its the CPU. I put it in another box and it didnt work! Now I am calling newegg right now to get a replacement. I have a question though. How can the proccessor burn out without me changing any setting in the bios? I mean I just boot and pressed delete and scrolled aournd without changing any settings!

Is it possible that there is still something wrong with the board that its going to burn out processors. I have the same mobile processor running on the other machine. Should I try putting that processor in this mobo and see if it works?

then you run the risk of having 2 fried CPUs. If you have the patience, wait and see what this new one does.

:p That is neither strange nor silly, its a reasonable thought!

I agree with IDversusEGO though, wait till the new chip comes in before you fry an older one just in case it IS your mobo doing the dirty work. ^^

wow you guys are killing me! I have all this euiqpment and I cant test it out? Lets say that it is the motherboard doing the frying and it fries my next processor too. Do you think newegg will let me RMA the next processor a second time along with the mobo?

If they will then I can just send them this processor from my other computer instead if tis friend. They are the exact same processors. What do u think?>

If the serial numbers on the hardware do not match they will deny your RMA claim.

IE, they send you a processor with serial number 123, and they get a processor wiht serial number 456 you wont be gettign a new processor back.

don't get too antsy and make bad decisions. patience is your friend.

Make sure nothing is grounding out on the motherboard to the case. Also, make sure you put the HSF on properly. You did use thermal paste right? Not too much either?

That's what it sounds like to me. I've had that kind of trouble before, because my HSF wasn't mounted properly. It was on good enough so there was no physical evidence of it burning up, but it was dead :p

Have you tried putting the processor in a different computer? i wouldn't see any harm in doing that

well I RMA'd it and sent it back to newegg. I took the risk of putting my woking proc. in it and it works like a charm. Same mobile proc. and everything. What could have caused the proc to butn up so fast or watever?
