well, now that i got linux installed i can't boot into windows, i'm just not given the option. On my windows partition i have partition manager 2005 installed, but I dont have it configured yet for this, could i install it on this linux and use it here? how am I gonna boot into windows? I need to get to partition manager so I can set this up as an optional dual-boot system..

I could be wrong here, been wrong before. Id stick my Linux boot CD in the drive and see if there are boot options listed there. As a rule there are. With luck you can reconfigure your boot menu and get things working again.

What flavour of linux are you running? Redhat? Fedora Core? Suse? And was windows installed prior to the linux install or do you have them on seperate drives?
When installing linux you gotta becareful that diskdruid doesnt whip the WIN32 parition when it makes the linux partition, I did that once and learned from experience.
