Well, I got a question for the electricians here....

Customer site has just had three ups's feeding one device replaced. They're on their fouth one.

What is the usual culprit to AC power killing UPS's? What is the identifier to the issue?

The identifier to the issue? I can't understand your question.

Me, I don't have a crystal ball. You've provided no context; are the batteries dying? Are the UPS boxes exploding in a shower of sparks? Are they blowing internal fuses? Drive transisters? Converters?

Since you've given no details about what you've observed, only a fool would try to guess what the cause of the failures is. Unless you can give some useful clues and context, 1-900-PSYCHIC is going to be your best bet.

Why were they replaced?

It would be funny if they shipped them back because the forgot to plug in the battery pack.
