UPS vs Surge Protector

I've run into an issue lately in my work space. I've noticed that whenever the condenser for my water cooler kicks on, it flickers the light, makes my TV wig out and makes my mouse unresponsive until it re-initiates. I was going to invest in either a nice surge protector or a UPS. I didn't wan't to have to reply on a battery backup, as my power is extremely stable, power outages aren't a concern of mine; I'd just like the flickering to stop.

Does anybody with any experience in this have input for me? Would a nicer surge protector do the trick or should I play it safe and invest in a APC. Thanks!

If you have PCs with newer PSUs youll need a UPS with true sinewave output which I was surprised to find featured in these for the price. They are also line interactive which means they will regulate the voltage which is better than simple surge protection. I have the step above 1350VA model and it has the capacity for my power munching gaming rig and file server and two bigass monitors. It uses standard size lead acid batteries so it is cheaper to keep running than APC equivalents. Check it out :)

Shoot, handt seen you got an APC. Still good units.
